There are many greens in our watercolor palette. But it is usually better to make our own greens from blues and yellows. Trying all different combinations can gives us better understanding of making dull green to more vibrant one.

Values are the shades of grey between black and white, or the darks and lights. The success of a painting is based more on getting correct values than on the colors that we use. It is not necessary to reproduce the same color that we see in our reference photo but it is important to concentrate on the value of that color.
